Birthday Excitement
Quite a stir where the wild doxies roam today. Beautiful, Weasel, Phoenixtail and Ferretboy are all preparing for the arrival of Beautiful’s parents who have come to join the family for Beautiful and Phoenixtail’s birthday on Saturday. (Yep, they have the same birthday.) Mikkey and Abbie took all the preperations in stride. They had a great time wandering in the yard while everyone was outside cleaning up, and pretty much slept while any work was done inside.
Grandpa Jon and Grandma Cathy will be arriving in just a few hours but there’s no sense telling the doxies that. The full excitement of visitors doesn’t hit them until the doorbell rings. And when they see a suitcase come into the house it’s really a cause for celebration. You see, a suitcase means whoever is here is going to stay for a bit to give them the attention they so richly want (I mean deserve, of course).
So until the doorbell rings they can just continue to rest. It’s important to conserve energy until you really need it.
